Abstract:	Das Herzstück des Toshka-Projekts im Süden Ägyptens ist die Mubarak Pumping Station. Obwohl das Bauwerk relativ große Abmessungen hat und ungünstige Randbedingungen im Hinblick auf Zwangsbeanspruchungen im Projektgebiet vorliegen, wurde auf die Anordnung von Bewegungsfugen verzichtet. Die Gebrauchseigenschaften des Bauwerks wurden durch die Kombination von betontechnologischen Maßnahmen und sinnvollen Mindestbewehrungen sichergestellt.
