Abstract:	Welche innovativen Möglichkeiten der Stahlbau bieten kann, um den Mobilitätsansprüchen der Gesellschaft gerecht zu werden, läßt sich hervorragend am Beispiel eines Monorailsystems illustrieren. Dank seiner Tragkonstruktion in Stahl ist dieses in der Schweiz entwickelte System seit Jahrzehnten kaum an Attraktivität und Flexibilität zu übertreffen. Auch in Zukunft können monorailähnliche Systeme einen aktiven Beitrag leisten, um den Forderungen nach zeitgemäßen Nahverkehrssystemen gerecht zu werden.
