Abstract:	Der Beitrag gibt eine Übersicht über die Baumaßnahmen am Fernbahnknoten Berlin. Im Schnittpunkt der auf Berlin zulaufenden Bahnstrecken liegt der Lehrter Bahnhof. Mit der Grundsteinlegung am 9. September 1998 begann der Bahnhofsbau. Am 4. Juli 2002 konnte mit der Inbetriebnahme der Ost-West-Brücken des Bahnhofs eine wichtige Etappe auf dem Wege zur Fertigstellung des Gesamtprojektes abgeschlossen werden.
