Abstract:	Im folgenden Beitrag soll näher analysiert werden, welcher Energieeinsparbeitrag aus dem Wohnungsbestand einer deutschen Großstadt realistischerweise erwartet werden darf. Ausgehend vom Wohnungsbestand der Stadt Hamburg werden zunächst die grundsätzlichen Energieeinsparmöglichkeiten aus baulichen und heizungstechnischen Maßnahmen näher betrachtet sowie das Einsparpotential bei typischen mehrgeschossigen Stadthäusern im Vergleich zum aktuellen Stand abgeschätzt. Unter Berücksichtigung der Entwicklung des Wohnflächenbestandes wird dann eine Prognose der Verbrauchsentwicklung vorgestellt und mit dem aktuellen Gesamtenergiebedarf der Großstadt Hamburg verglichen.
