Abstract:	Anhand zweier PC-Programme wird das Prinzip und die Nützlichkeit bauakustischer Auralisationen erläutert. Während das eine eine einfache, aber wirkungsvolle Messedemonstration darstellt, sind mit der anderen Software in Echtzeit beliebig lange Hörbeispiele und augenblickliches Umschalten auf ein anderes Bauteil oder eine andere Schallquelle möglich. Als zweites Werkzeug zur Optimierung der Schalldämmung von Bauteilen dienen Rechenprogramme zur Vorhersage des frequenzabhängigen Schalldämmverlaufs, insbesondere das für geschichtete Bauteile geschriebene Programm LAYERS. Das unbefriedigende Trial-and-Error-Verfahren bei der Entwicklung von Bauteilen kann mit der Unterstützung durch die Auralisations- und Prognosemöglichkeiten vermieden werden.
