Title:	Elliptisches Palmenhaus aus Stahl und Glas in Berlin
Abstract:	Als Bestandteil eines Neubaus in Berlin wurde mit einem Privat- und einem Hausmeisterhaus ein elliptisches Palmenhaus mit Grundrißabmessungen von etwa 16,0 x 10,0 m errichtet. Dank der von den Fachplanern durchdachten Konstruktion und sorgfältig gestalteten Details weist das 9,5 bis 11,5 m hohe Bauwerk ein hohes Maß an Transparenz aus. Die Isolierverglasung des betretbaren Daches und der Fassade wird von einer filigranen Stahlkonstruktion getragen, deren Verformungen wegen des rahmenartigen Verhaltens des Tragwerks in vertretbaren Grenzen bleiben. Zur Aussteifung wird lediglich der Stahlbau von Dachkonstruktion und Fassade herangezogen. Durch eine gutachterliche Stellungnahme erfolgte die Festlegung der Windlast. Zur Genehmigung wurden von einer anerkannten Prüfstelle Bauteilversuche und eine Überwachung durchgeführt. Nach konsequentem Einsatz in der Planung von CAD verliefen Herstellung mittels CNC-gesteuerter Geräte und Montage ohne nennenswerte Probleme.
