Abstract:	Der Wissensstand über die "gute Akustik" von Auditorien als Ziel der raumakustischen Planung wird erörtert. Ein Vergleich zwischen Meßwerten und subjektiven Beurteilungen aus zwei Konzertsälen gleicher mittlerer Nachhallzeit unterstreicht, daßmit dieser allein keine ausreichende Kennzeichnung von Räumen für Musikdarbietungen möglich ist. Geeignete raumakustische Kriterien leiten sich vor allem aus der Raumimpulsantwort ab. Deren sichere Vorausbestimmung zur raumakustischen Optimierung ist durch den komplexen Einsatz von rechentechnischen Verfahren, speziell der Schallteilchensimulationsmethode und von Modellmeßverfahren möglich.
