Abstract:	Die Dämmschicht in Umkehrdächern, insbesondere wenn diese begrünt sind oder einen relativ dichten Oberflächenbelag besitzen, ist einer besonders hohen Feuchtebelastung ausgesetzt. Als einziger Dämmstoff erfüllt bisher extrudierter Polystyrol-Hartschaum die Zulassungsvoraussetzungen für diese Art der Flachdachkonstruktion. Aufgrund von theoretischen Überlegungen und experimentellen Untersuchungen hat sich gezeigt, daß der Schäumhaut und der Dicke der Dämmplatten eine besondere Bedeutung zukommt, wenn es um die Höhe der Wasseraufnahme des Dämmstoffs im Temperaturgefälle geht. Die Schäumhaut bewirkt eine Reduktion der Feuchteaufnahme aber auch der Feuchteabgabe von XPS-Dämmplatten. Eine größere Plattendichte hat eine Verringerung der Feuchteaufnahme zur Folge.
