Abstract:	Ein Motor-Akustik-Prüfstand mit einem lichten Rohbau-Volumen von nur 339 m# wurde dank einer neuartigen, nur 25 cm dicken, allseitig reflexionsarmen Wandauskleidung für Freifeld-Messungen bis 50 Hz herunter gebaut. Die hier erstmals eingesetzten Breitband-Kompakt-Absorber widerlegen das Vorurteil, daß die Anforderungen der Genauigkeitsklasse 1 gemäß DIN 45 635 Teil 1 oder ISO 3745 nur mit Keil-, Pyrymiden- oder Würfel-Strukturen mit einem Absorptionsgrad von 99 % und einer Bautiefe von einem Viertel der größten zu messenden Wellenlänge zu realisieren seien.
