Abstract:	Insbesondere bei der Altbausanierung müssen solartechnische Maßnahmen, wie z. B. die Anbringung von Solarkollektoren oder von Photovoltaik-Anlagen zur Stromerzeugung kritisch gesehen werden, weil es bauphysikalisch primär nämlich nicht darauf ankommt, "Solargebäude" zu bauen oder möglichst viel "Alternativ-Energie" zu nutzen. Unsere Gebäude müssen vielmehr so gestaltet werden, daß sie möglichst wenig, am besten gar keine Energie für die Beheizung mehr benötigen und dadurch auch keine Kohlendioxid-Emissionen freisetzen. Dies bedeutet, daß Gesamtenergiebilanzen aufgestellt werden müssen. Welche verhängsnisvollen Folgen die unkritische "Solaroptimierung" hat, wird an einem Altbau-Beispiel aufgezeigt.
