Abstract:	Das Ziel besteht in der Berechnung von Beulwerten geschlossener Querschnitte unter zweiachsiger Beanspruchung nach der linearen Elastizitätstheorie. Es werden Annahmen über die Funktionen für die Verformungen getroffen. Für eine gegebene Spannungsverteilung wird das Potential der inneren und äußeren Kräfte angeschrieben. Die Differentiation nach den freien Parametern in der Verformungsfunktion ergibt ein homogenes, lineares Gleichungssystem als Eigenwertproblem, dessen kleinster Eigenwert den Beulwert darstellt. Der zugehörige Eigenvektor gibt eine Vorstellung von der Beulfigur. Beispiele zeigen die Anwendung.
