Abstract:	Der Dom St. Marien in Zwickau ist Zeugnis einer 880 Jahre alten und sehr wechselvollen Baugeschichte. Das Gebiet um die spätgotische dreischiffige Hallenkirche hat sich durch den Steinkohlenbergbau um durchschnittlich 4 m gesenkt und 1,30 m nach Südosten bewegt. Dadurch sind am Bauwerk erhebliche Beanspruchungen, Risse und andere Schäden entstanden. Maßnahmen zur Instandsetzung und zur Dauerüberwachung des Bauwerks werden beschrieben.
