Title:	Wandelbares Membrandach im Innenhof des Wiener Rathauses
Abstract:	Im September 2000 wurde das wandelbare Membrandach über dem Arkadenhof des Wiener Rathauses eingeweiht. Als Regen- und Sonnenschutz für die zahlreichen Veranstaltungen ersetzt die neue 34 m x 32 m große Konstruktion die bisher verwendeten Zelte. An den Längsseiten des Daches sind Schienen angeordnet, auf denen die Laufwagen der in Querrichtung gespannten Tragseile verfahren werden. Die Membran trägt zwischen diesen sogenannten Gratseilen praktisch einachsig in Dachlängsrichtung. Die Dachkehle - zwischen jeweils zwei Gratseilen - wurde so ballastiert, daß sich die Membran beim Verfahren wie eine Ziehharmonika zwischen Grat und Kehle auffaltet.
