Abstract:	Es wird über die Herstellung von sogenannten Längs-Profil-Blechen (LP-Blechen) und ihre Verwendung im Konstruktions- und Brückenbau berichtet. Bei den LP-Blechen läßt sich mit Hilfe einer speziellen Walztechnik ihre Dicke über die Walztafellänge bis zu einem Dickenunterschied von 35 mm gezielt verändern, wobei die unterschiedlichsten Profilformate einstellbar sind. Damit steht dem Konstruktions- und Brückenbau erstmals ein Baumaterial zur Verfügung, mit dem man die sich in einer Konstruktion kontinuierlich verändernden Spannungs- und Momentenverläufe durch die kontinuierlich veränderbare Dicke der LP-Bleche anpassen kann. Der Einsatz dieser LP-Bleche bei dem Bau der neuen Sauertalbrücke und ihre Kostenvorteile werden ausführlich beschrieben.
