Title:	Erdbebensicherung durch Structural Control
Abstract:	Für die Erdbebensicherung von Bauwerken geeignete Structural Control-Konzepte, wie BI-, HYDE-, TENDON- und PAGODA-Systeme, beruhen auf unter Erdbeben günstig wirkenden Starrkörpermechanismen, deren Bewegungen durch passive oder semi-aktive Geräte kontrolliert werden. Sie sind damit nicht auf "natürliche" Mechanismen, wie sie in herkömmlichen Tragwerken entstehen, angewiesen und können so sicherer, effizienter und wirtschaftlicher gestaltet werden. Sie sind vielfältig einsetzbar und bieten vor allem bei der Sanierung große Vorteile. Ihre Anwendung erfordert allerdings ein Umdenken bei Konstruktion und Berechnung und für Bauingenieure ungewohnte Methoden zur Sicherheitsabschätzung.
