Abstract:	Eine baubegleitende oder langfristige Überwachung von historischen Bauwerken dient der Bemühung, Einwirkungen und Veränderungen an der bestehenden Bausubstanz frühzeitig zu erkennen, um etwaige Schädigungen zu verhindern und den Bestand zu sichern. Mit dem dargelegten Instrumentierungskonzept für Schloß Tirol in Südtirol wurde versucht, einige aussagekräftige Größen zu identifizieren und zu erfassen, um dieser Aufgabe mit den vorhandenen Mitteln bestmöglich gerecht zu werden. Zudem soll auch ein Abriß der wichtigsten Erkenntnisse aus den gewonnenen Meßdaten diskutiert werden.
