Abstract:	Für die Gartenbauaustellung wurde als Transportsystem eine Einschienenbahn gewählt. Sie verbindet die verschiedenen Bereiche der Ausstellung miteinander und kreuzt mehrmals öffentliche Verkehrswege, u. a. auch die Bundesbahnstrecke. Sie besteht aus einer aufgeständerten Fahrbahn, die gleichzeitig Tragstruktur ist. Sie ist über 4 km lang und mußte neben architektonischen Anforderungen der bestehenden Geländesituation mit Bebauung angepaßt werden. Berichtet wird über Planung, Berechnungsmethoden, Produktion und Montage des Stahlbaues.
