Title:
Abstract:	Als fünfte Donauquerung in Bratislava, Slowakei, wurde ein technisch interessantes und gestalterisch hervorragendes Brückenbauwerk errichtet, welches mit dem Europäischen Stahlbaupreis 2005 der European Convention for Constructional Steelwork ausgezeichnet wurde. Die eindrucksvolle Gestaltung betont sicherlich den Anspruch der Brücke als ein neues Wahrzeichen der Stadt Bratislava. Die Hauptbrücke mit einer Gesamtlänge von 514,50 m, bestehend aus zwei Vorlandtragwerken und einer zentralen Bogenbrücke mit einer Spannweite von 231,00 m, wurde als orthotrope Stahlkonstruktion ausgeführt. Neben der hohen Komplexität des Entwurfs und den Besonderheiten bei der Fertigung wird in diesem Artikel speziell die in Europa in dieser Größenordnung einzigartige Montagetechnologie durch Einschwimmen über einen Drehpfeiler beschrieben.
