Title:	Montage der Membranfassade am neuen Tower des Flughafens Wien
Abstract:	Die Intention des Architekten beim Entwurf des neuen Kontrollturms für den Wiener Flughafen war neben dem rein funktionalen Charakter auch ein Landmark für den Flughafen Wien zu schaffen. Ein wesentliches Element bildet dabei die Stahl-Membran-Konstruktion. Neben den hohen Anforderungen, die ein derartiges Bauwerk an das Engineering stellt, sind als hervorstechende Merkmale die komplexe geometrische Form und die damit verbundenen, erforderlichen hohen Fertigungsgenauigkeiten sowie die schwierige Montagesituation hervorzuheben. Die Montage der gesamten Fassade erfolgte in einer Höhe von ca. 25 m bis 70 m über dem Gelände. (© 2006 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
