Abstract:	Heute werden in den Bereichen “Mauermörtel” und “Putzmörtel” praktisch ausschließlich Werkmörtel eingesetzt. Diese Mörtel unterliegen bei der Herstellung einer strengen Qualitätskontrolle. Verantwortlich dafür ist der Hersteller selbst. Daran ändern Normen und Festlegungen des Bauordnungsrechts nichts. Die Normen legen jedoch Begriffe, Bezeichnungen und Klasseneinteilungen fest, mit denen die Kommunikation zwischen Planern, Herstellern und Bauausführenden erleichtert wird. Deshalb ist es wichtig, daß alle am Mauerwerksbau Beteiligten über den neuesten Stand informiert sind. Die Umstellung auf europäische Normen hat zu einigen Änderungen geführt, die im folgenden - in Kurzform - erläutert werden.
