Abstract:	Nach Einführung der DIN -Fachberichte ist die Verwendung von Stahlblechen bis 100 mm Dicke im deutschen Eisenbahnbrückenbau bauaufsichtlich geregelt. Die Umsetzung dieser Möglichkeiten vergrößert das Anwendungsspektrum von Stahlbrücken. So ist der Einsatz von dicken, unausgesteiften Fahrbahnblechen möglich. Dieses ist insbesondere sinnvoll, wenn durch geometrische Randbedingungen nur minimale Bauhöhen für die Fahrbahn zur Verfügung stehen und diese durch Querrippenfahrbahnen technisch nicht mehr realisierbar sind.
