Abstract:	Autoren dieses Aufrufs sind acht deutschsprachige Bauingenieure aus verschiedenen Sparten dieses Berufs, die ihm nach mehreren Jahrzehnten aktiver Arbeit weiterhin eng verbunden sind. Sie nehmen Stellung zum Ist-Zustand dieses Berufs und versuchen, die junge Generation der Bauingenieure zu weiterer engagierter Arbeit zu ermuntern, die Öffentlichkeit für unsere Arbeit zu interessieren und außerdem unsere Partner - in Beruf, Verwaltung und Industrie - um verständnisvolle Zusammenarbeit zu bitten.
