Abstract:	In der Stahlbeton-Hochbaupraxis werden oft sowohl ebene als auch räumlich zusammengesetzte Wandscheiben (Kerne) durch geeignete äquivalente Rahmenmodelle ersetzt. Diese relativ einfache und leicht zu handhabende Modellierungsmethode liefert jedoch nur für regelmässige ebene Wandscheiben und für hauptsächlich auf Biegung beanspruchte Kerne befriedigende Ergebnisse. Bei unregelmässigen ebenen Wandscheiben und bei stark auf Torsion beanspruchten offenen und vor allem halboffenen und geschlossenen Kernen treten bei Verwendung des Rahmenmodells nicht mehr vertretbare Abweichungen in Kraft- und Verschiebungsgrössen auf.
