Abstract:	Die geplante Verbindung über den grossen Belt (Dänemark) ist in drei Teilprojekte aufgeteilt: eine 6.6 km lange kombinierte Auto- und Eisenbahnbrücke zwischen Fünen und Sprogo, einen 8 km langen Eisenbahntunnel und eine 6.8 km lange Autobahnbrücke als Hochbrücke zwischen Sprogo und Seeland. Nachfolgend sollen die Grundzüge von altenativen Lösungen für einen Eisenbahntunnel und die Betrachtungen skizziert werden, die zur Wahl eines gebohrtenTunnels, dem ersten grossen Teilprojekt, führten.
