Abstract:	Seit Anfang 2006 errichtet RWE Power am Standort Neurath zwei Braunkohlekraftwerksblöcke mit optimierter Anlagentechnik - kurz BoA. Nach der Inbetriebnahme von BoA1 in Niederaußem im Jahr 2003 werden sie die Blöcke 2 und 3 dieser modernsten Bauart sein. Zu den auffälligsten Bauwerken der neuen Kraftwerksblöcke gehören die beiden 173 m hohen Kühltürme. In diesem Beitrag wird ein Überblick über Planung und Ausführung der beiden Türme gegeben. Dabei erfolgt die Planung erstmals im Kühlturmbau auf Basis der neuen Normengeneration und der neuen Fassung der VGB-Richtlinie “Bautechnik bei Kühltürmen” aus dem Jahr 2005.
