Abstract:	Beim Auffahren der ersten seichtliegenden Tunnel in der tonsteinreichen, dünnbankigen Ausbildung des Buntsandsteingebirges in Osthessen sind mehrfach unerwartet grosse Verformungen und auch einzelne Verbrüche aufgetreten. Der Bericht beschreibt Ursachen für die aufgetretenen Störungen und zeigt Möglichkeiten auf, wie Verbrüche bei rechtzeitigem Erkennen vermieden werden können.
