Abstract:	Die durch Erdbeben am meisten gefährdeten Gebäude sind nicht die großen Hochhäuser, sondern einfache Geschoßbauten mit weniger als etwa 10 Stockwerken. Die Auslegung von Geschoßbauten für Erdbeben beruht auf der Erkenntnis, daß Erdbeben nicht als Lastfall, sondern als Verformungsfall betrachtet werden soll. Die Verformungsfigur eines durch Wandscheiben ausgesteiften Gebäudes ist annähernd dreieckig. Deshalb kann das dynamische Tragverhalten an einem Schwinger mit einem einzigen Freiheitsgrad erfasst werden. Mit Hilfe von Antwortspektren wird ein einfaches Rechenverfahren für die Tragwerksplanung hergeleitet und durch Rechenbeispiele erläutert.
