Abstract:	Ausgehend von den bodenmechanischen Grundlagen werden die Tragfähigkeitsgrenzen des "ebenen Falls" von Gründungen festgestellt. Drei Grundlastfälle zeigen die Auswirkungen auf Sohldruckverteilung und Biegebeanspruchung. Im Grenzfall des Grundbruchs stellt sich jeweils die gleiche dreieckförmige Sohldruckverteilung ein. Die Anwendung für Einzellasten,die Traglastabminderung durch Exzentrizität, Standsicherheitsfragen und Zwängungsbeanspruchungen werden behandelt.
