Abstract:	Zur Beurteilung "weicher Stöße" dient die Energieaufnahme eines Bauteils. Für Kragträger und beidseitig gelenkig oder eingespannt aufgelagerte Träger wird hierfür ein einfaches Näherungsverfahren unter Annahme vom Ebenbleiben der Querschnitte und bei bilinearer Spannungs-Dehnungsbeziehung sowie bilinear genähertem Krümmungsverlauf beschrieben. Als Beispiel wird der Pfosten eines Geländers beurteilt, es werden Faustformeln für Träger aus St 37 und St 52 bei maximaler Randdehnung von 2,5 % beschrieben und Ergebnisse eines Versuchs mit IPB 100-Profil den Näherungswerten gegenübergestellt.
