Der Bericht zeichnet wichtige Stationen ihrer spannungsgeladenen Kooperation nach, die in weniger als einem Jahrzehnt zur Schaffung jener theoretischen und praktischen Grundlagen führte, von denen aus der Betonschalenbau die ganze Welt erobern sollte. Dedicated to the 125th birthday of Franz Dischinger Shortly after it had developed a groundbreaking method for the construction of thin concrete shells, the building enterprise Dyckerhoff & Widmann became the stage for the encounter of two brilliant civil engineers, Franz Dischinger and Ulrich Finsterwalder. The article describes important episodes of their conflict-riddled cooperation, which provided in less than a decade the theoretical and practical basis that would enable thin concrete shell constructions to conquer the whole world.
