Abstract:	Der ehemalige Eingang Mitte der NürnbergMesse wurde seiner Rolle als Haupteingang nicht gerecht. Von außen schwer ablesbar, führte der niedrige Eingangsraum in eine unübersichtliche Gebäudestruktur. Anstatt der seit den 60er Jahren mehrfach ergänzten Messelandschaft lediglich einen weiteren additiven Baustein hinzuzufügen, schafft der Entwurf von kadawittfeldarchitektur mit dem 250 m langen und 57 m breiten Lamellendach ein neues Superzeichen, das mehrere Funktionen gleichzeitig erfüllt: Es ordnet die verschiedenen Bauteile der Messe, gibt ihr eine eindeutige Adresse, verbindet Innen- und Außenräume und definiert ein urbanes Foyer, das sich von der Zufahrt über den Vorplatz, den Eingang und das Hauptfoyer bis in den neuen Messepark erstreckt. Trade fair centre of Nuremberg - new main entrance. The entrance called “Mitte” of Nuremberg’s trade fair centre did not do justice to its purpose as the main entrance. Barely perceptible from the outside, the low-ceilinged lobby led into building structure. Instead of simply adding another module to the existing trade fair compound built in the 1960s, the draft of kadawittfeldarchitektur sets up a new super-feature: The 20 m high steel slat roof measuring 256 by 57 m spans the forecourt of the trade fair and forms the roof of the new entrance building.
