Abstract:	Aus der Theorie der Gemische, wie sie u.a. von Green entwickelt wurde werden die speziellen Theorien für elastische, poröse Medien daraus abgeleitet. Die Grundgleichungen werden rein analytisch ermittelt. Nach einem kurzen Abriss der historischen Entwicklung der Konsolidationstheorien nach Terzaghi et al folgt eine kritische Beleuchtung des aktuellen Forschungsstands auf dem Gebiet der Konsolidation (Setzung) von bindigen Böden
