Contributions from international and national authors on the subject materials and constructions in the context of innovative approaches from science and practice, give an insight into the developments especially in the field of structural engineering. A variety of specialty areas of structural engineering will be considered, especially life-cycle assessment, concrete technology, fastening technology and monitoring. Aspects of durability, sustainability and safety and reliability assessment also occupy a large proportion. Experimentally-based design and experimental investigations complement the discussed topics from using different materials and constructions.
