Abstract:	Ausgehend von einem Vortrag von Jörg Schlaich versuche ich räumliche Kräftesysteme besser zu verstehen, indem ich sie mit den traditionellen Methoden der darstellenden Geometrie betrachte. Damit gelingt es, dreidimensionale Tragwerke auf ebene Systeme zurückzuführen. Die Untersuchung derartiger ebener Systeme ist jedem Ingenieur geläufig. Die darstellende Geometrie wird dabei zu einem leistungsfähigen und anschaulichen Werkzeug für eine bessere Erkenntnis der Wirkungsweise komplexer Tragwerke. Projections of spatial systems of forces. Remembering a lecture by Jörg Schlaich some years ago, the author tries to become familiar with the acting of forces in three-dimensional structures by using the traditional methods of descriptive geometry applied to spatial systems of forces. Using planar projections of such a system refers to methods well known. It can be a powerful and illustrative tool for a better understanding how a complex structure works.
