Abstract:	Nach dem Entwurf von EC 8 ergeben sich bereichsweise wesentlich höhere Erdbebenbeanspruchungen als nach DIN 4149. Am Beispiel eines fünfgeschossigen Gebäudes werden die zu erwartenden Auswirkungen auf den Mauerwerksbau aufgezeigt. Die Bemessung des Mauerwerks erfolgt je nach Ermittlung der Erdbebenlasten nach dem Entwurf von EC 6 oder DIN 1053 Teil 2. Es erweist sich, daß die Einflüsse insbesondere auf die Schubspannungen und die Kippsicherheit beträchtlich sein können.
