| Title: | Der Bau des neuen Kansai Flughafens in Japan. |
| Abstract: | Die Region um Osaka erhält mit dem neuen Kansai Flughafen nicht nur den ersten Flughafen mit 24-stündigem Betrieb in Japan, sondern auch die größte künstlich aufgeschüttete Insel der Welt. Sie wurde in etwa 5 km Entfernung vom Festland innerhalb von Umfassungsmolen erstellt. Die Inselschüttung bestand aus Maßnahmen der Untergrundverbesserung, der Molenherstellung und aus den eigentlichen Schüttarbeiten. Die Materialien wurden in Steinbrüchen der gesamten Küsten- und Inselregion gewonnen und mit Schiffen transportiert. Die eigentlichen Schüttarbeiten sind abgeschlossen, die Verbindungsbrücke zum Honshu-Festland ist hergestellt, die Anschlußeisenbahn ist noch im Bau, ebenso wie die Gebäude und Einrichtungen des Flughafens. |
