Abstract:	Unserem akademischen Lehrer und Vorbild Herrn Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kurt Schäfer zum 80. Geburtstag gewidmet Der Neubau von drei Überdachungsbauwerken ist Teil der Baumaßnahme ZOB (Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof) Pforzheim. Den Überdachungsbauwerken als funktional notwendige und gleichzeitig gestalterisch prägende Elemente kommt eine maßgebliche Bedeutung für die Gesamtbaumaßnahme zu. Erscheinungsbild und Form der sehr filigranen, mit einer weißen Verkleidung versehenen Überdachungsbauwerke in Stahlbauweise sind abgestimmt auf verkehrsplanerische, städtebauliche und funktionale Randbedingungen. Der Beitrag beschreibt den Tragwerksentwurf für die Überdachungsbauwerke sowie deren Tragverhalten. Umbrella roofs of ZOB Pforzheim: Structural design of geometrically sophisticated emblematical steel structures. Three new roofs are part of the project central bus station Pforzheim. Functional necessary and in terms of design striking the roofs have significant relevance for the entire area. Appearance and form of the extremely filigree steel roofs, covered with a white cladding, have been adjusted to transportation, urban as well as architectural planning aspects. This article describes the structural design process for the roof structures as well as their structural behaviour.
