Abstract:	Nach langer, z. T. extrem kontroverser Diskussion wird im Januar 1995 die neue WSVO in Kraft treten. Die Sorge, tradierte Konstruktionen - insbesondere in Mauerwerk - könnten den dann nachzuweisenden Standards nicht mehr genügen, hat sich als Irrtum erwiesen. Nach wie vor erfüllen selbst einschalige, 30 cm dicke Konstruktionen aus Leichtziegeln mit hohem Wärmedurchlaßwiderstand in einer ganzheitlichen Betrachtung die neuen Anforderungen. Ziel zukünftigen Bauens muß jedoch, ungeachtet der notwendigen Optimierung einzelner Materialien, deren optimierte Kombination sein, Ziel eine Minimierung der Wärmeverluste durch Mauerwerk, wie eine Maximierung der Wärmegewinne durch Glas. Dabei sind dynamische Konstruktionen zu bevorzugen, die an differenzierte Situationen ohne extreme Hightech-Steuerung anpaßbar sind.
