Abstract:	Controlling wird sowohl in der Literatur als auch in der Praxis teilweise sehr unterschiedlich dargestellt. Der Beitrag erläutert und systematisiert Controlling und seine Inhalte, um die praktischen Anwendungen am richtigen Ort, zur richtigen Zeit und durch die richtige Person einzusetzen. Die praktische Umsetzung wird ergänzt durch die Vorstellung des allgemeinen Instrumentariums aus der Betriebswirtschaft sowie einige spezielle Instrumente und Methoden in Bauunternehmen und im Baubetrieb.
