Abstract:	Die Schätzung des p-Quantils (d. h. des charakteristischen Wertes) und des Mittelwertes kann mit der Mathematischen Statistik unter Beachtung des begrenzten Stichprobenumfangs erfolgen. Sowohl der Mittelwert und die Standardabweichung als auch das p-Quantil (p-Fraktil) müssen statisch geschätzt werden. Gesichtpunkte, die besondere Beachtung bei der Berechnung eines einseitigen, nach unten abgegrenzten statistischen Anteilsbereiches fanden, sind - Normalverteilung (NV) oder logarithmische Normalverteilung (LNV), große Variationskoeffizienten vx, einseitig, nach unten begrenzte statistische Anteilsbereiche. Für praktische Anwendungen sind Zahlentafeln hinzugefügt worden.
