Abstract:	In Teilbereichen der Planung und Ausführung bestehen im Stahlbau bereits seit vielen Jahren geschlossene Prozessketten im Sinne der “closed BIM-Methode”. Durch computerunterstützte Fertigungsmethoden gewonnene Freiheitsgrade konnten architektonisch und technisch genutzt werden. Die konsequente Weiterentwicklung der digitalen Prozessketten im Stahlbau ermöglicht eine wirtschaftliche und qualitativ hochwertige Umsetzung äußerst komplexer Bauwerksgeometrien innerhalb kürzester Zeit. Dieser Artikel erläutert die konsequente Weiterentwicklung digitaler Planungsmethoden im Stahlbau anhand von Projektbeispielen. Consistently digital - integrated process chains in steel construction. In some areas of planning and execution, closed-loop process chains have existed in steel construction for many years in the sense of the “closed BIM method”. Freedom gained by computer-aided manufacturing methods could be used at a high architectural and technical level. Furthermore, the consistent development of digital process chains in steel construction enables a cost-effective and high-quality implementation of extremely complex structural geometries within a very short time. This article explains the consistent further development of digital planning methods in steel construction based on project examples.
