Abstract:	Dem 90. Jahrestag der Erstausgabe der Zeitschrift DER STAHLBAU gewidmet Vor 90 Jahren, im April 1928, erschien erstmalig die Zeitschrift DER STAHLBAU. Der erste Fachartikel in der ersten Ausgabe widmete sich der Konstruktion und dem Bau der Messehalle 7 (heute Messehalle 15) auf dem Gelände der Technischen Messe in Leipzig. Die Halle hielt zum Zeitpunkt ihrer Errichtung mit 100 m freier Spannweite einen Rekord. Nach einer wechselvollen Geschichte wird das denkmalgeschützte Bauwerk aktuell rekonstruiert und einer neuen Nutzung zugeführt. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Bau- und Nutzungsgeschichte der Messehalle sowie die Planung der Neunutzung. Besondere Berücksichtigung findet die Überprüfung und die Nachrechnung der historischen Stahlkonstruktion. Zugleich soll damit die Bedeutung dieser Zeitschrift für die in Wissenschaft und Stahlbaupraxis tätigen Ingenieurinnen und Ingenieure hervorgehoben werden. Reconstruction and re-utilisation of Exhibition Hall 15 on the old exhibition ground of the Alte Messe in Leipzig - Dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the first edition of the magazine DER STAHLBAU. The magazine DER STAHLBAU was first published 90 years ago, in April 1928. The first professional article in the first edition was devoted to the structure and construction of Exhibition Hall 7 (today Exhibition Hall 15) on the grounds of the Technische Messe (technical fair) in Leipzig. At the time of construction, the hall held a record with 100m of free span. After an eventful history, the listed building is currently being reconstructed and put to new use. This article describes the construction and utilisation history of the exhibition hall as well as the planning of re-utilisation. Special attention is paid to the verification and calculation of the historical steel construction. At the same time, it is intended to underline the importance of this journal for engineers working in science and steel construction practice.
