Abstract:	Die Frage nach der bestmöglichen konstruktiven Gestaltung der Quersteife von I-Trägern einschl. Quernaht-Schweißstoß ist in der Vergangenheit Anlaß für z. T. kontroverse Antworten von Wissenschaftlern und Praktikern gewesen. Die Frage wird im Beitrag rechnerisch nach dem Kerbgrundkonzept behandelt. Es werden die Strukturformzahlen und die Kerbwirkungszahlen an drei Stellen der Quernaht für die zwei Nahtübergänge und für die Nahtwurzel angegeben. Daraus werden die Abminderungsfaktoren gegenüber dem unversteiften I-Träger gewonnen. Die bisher publizierten Dauerschwingversuche und die daraus abgeleiteten Berechnungsregeln werden teils bestätigt, teils zurückgewiesen.
