Title:	Befragungs- und Messergebnisse zur Akustik in Hotels
Abstract:	Die Akustik von Hotels und Restaurants wurde bislang weder wissenschaftlich noch praktisch hinreichend untersucht. Qualitätsanforderungen und -anregungen gibt es zwar einige, wie die hierzulande etablierte Schallschutznorm oder die Klassifizierungs- und Zertifizierungssysteme. Zugleich verfolgen manche Hotelketten “Hausstandards”, so dass die Situation für Gäste, Hoteliers und Planer gleichermaßen unübersichtlich ist. Darüber hinaus muss jeder Akustik-Standard auch baulich und wirtschaftlich umsetzbar sein, so dass “viel hilft viel” nicht die alleinige Richtschnur bilden kann. Um in dieser Situation Antworten zu formulieren, wurden der Stand des Wissens bewertet, Hotelgäste und Hoteliers befragt und eine Reihe von schalltechnischen Messungen in bestehenden Hotels durchgeführt. Guest Surveys and Acoustic Measurements in Hotels The acoustics of hotels and restaurants have not been studied adequately so far, neither scientifically nor practically. Certainly, there are some requirements and suggestions regarding the quality, such as the sound insulation standard established in Germany, or the classification and certification systems. Yet, some hotel chains are following “house standards” which is leading to a confusing situation for guests, hoteliers and planners alike. In addition, every acoustic standard must be implementable both structurally and economically, so that the motto “the more the better” cannot be the sole guiding principle. In order to develop answers in this situation, the current state of knowledge was evaluated, hotel guests and hoteliers were interviewed, and a series of sound measurements were carried out in existing hotels.
