Abstract:

Four stations of the new light transit rail line Eglinton Crosstown in Toronto are driven according to the NATM (New Austrian Tunnelling Method). To secure the stations in soft ground conditions under densely built-up urban areas the AT-pipe umbrella system, 139.7 × 6.3 mm, with squeezed connection is used as forepoling means over a total drilling length of approx. 120,000 m.
