Abstract:	Aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse belegen, dass durch die Feuerverzinkung von Stahlkonstruktionen ein günstigeres Verhalten im Brandfall in Form einer verlangsamten Erwärmung der verzinkten Stahlkomponenten erzielt werden kann. Bei gleichzeitig notwendigem Korrosionsschutz und/oder mechanischer Belastbarkeit der Stahloberflächen können derart mit der Feuerverzinkung die verschiedenen Anforderungen in einem System vereinbart und wirtschaftlich ansprechende Lösungen ohne zusätzliche passive Brandschutzmaßnahmen realisiert werden. Am in der HafenCity Hamburg neu errichteten Cruise Center Baakenhöft wurden nun erstmals die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse umgesetzt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden für dieses konkrete Beispiel die zugrunde liegenden Überlegungen, die Vorgehensweise bei der Heißbemessung sowie die Ausführung vorgestellt. Structural fire design utilizing hot-dip galvanizing - fire protection R30 at Cruise Center Baakenhöft Current research results have shown that hot-dip galvanizing of steel structures can achieve a more favorable behavior under fire conditions in terms of slower heating of galvanized steel members. If corrosion protection and/or mechanical resistance of steel surfaces is also required, the various requirements can be met utilizing hot-dip galvanizing and thus provide an economically attractive solution without the need of additional passive fire protection measures. At the newly built Cruise Center Baakenhöft in HafenCity Hamburg, these findings have now been implemented for the first time; this article covers the relevant underlying considerations, procedures for structural fire design and execution on site.
