Title:	Auf dem Weg zum klimaneutralen Stahlbau
Abstract:	Die Stahlindustrie ist eine Branche, die mittelfristig erhebliche Mengen CO2 einsparen kann. Sowohl mit Wasserstoff wie auch mit grünem Strom sind die Reduktionspotenziale bei der Stahlherstellung erheblich. Mithilfe der Direktreduktion können für den Übergang bereits durch den Einsatz von Erdgas erhebliche CO2-Minderungen erzielt werden. Ein weiterer wichtiger Baustein einer klimaneutralen Stahlindustrie ist die schrottbasierte Elektrostahlproduktion. Die Rolle von Stahl als wesentlicher Baustein der Circular Economy ist schon jetzt durch den etablierten und ökonomisch funktionierenden Schrotthandel gesetzt. In diesem Beitrag werden alle Potenziale und Hebel für das Bauen mit Stahl für eine CO2-neutrale Zukunft aufgezeigt. Roadmap to climate-neutral steel construction The steel industry can potentially save significant amounts of CO2. Both with hydrogen and with green electricity, the reduction potentials in steel production are considerable. With the help of direct reduction using natural gas, significant CO2 reductions can already be achieved for the transition. Another important component of a climate-neutral steel industry is scrap-based electric steel production. The role of steel as an essential component in the circular economy is already established by the economically functioning scrap trade. This article shows all the potential and levers of building with steel for a CO2-neutral future.
