Abstract:     
 
Aufgrund des defizitären Zustands der bestehenden Rheinbrücke Duisburg-Neuenkamp sowie der ständig zunehmenden Verkehrsbelastung sind die Schaffung einer leistungsfähigen Rheinquerung und der achtstreifige Ausbau der A 40 zwischen der AS Duisburg-Homberg und dem AK Duisburg zwingend erforderlich und daher als wesentlicher Bestandteil des Vorhabens 220 im Bundesverkehrswegeplan 2030 mit Planungsrecht ausgewiesen. Der vorliegende Aufsatz befasst sich mit den Besonderheiten der Planung des Ersatzneubaus der Rheinbrücke. Es wird auf die entwurfsbestimmenden Randbedingungen bis hin zur gestalterischen und statisch konstruktiven Ausbildung der Brückenbauwerke eingegangen sowie der Bauablauf vorgestellt.

Design of the new Rhine bridge Duisburg-Neuenkamp
Due to the deficient condition of the existing Rhine bridge Duisburg-Neuenkamp as well as due to the increasing traffic load, the realization of an efficient Rhine crossing and the eight-lane expansion of the highway A 40 between the Duisburg-Homberg junction and the Duisburg interchange is imperative and therefore designated as an essential part of the project 220 in the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan 2030 with planning rights. This technical paper deals with the special features of the design of the new bridge over the Rhine. It deals also with the design-determining boundary conditions up to the design and structural design of the bridge structures and presents the construction process.
