Abstract:	Ausführliche Beschreibung des aktuellen Wissenstands auf dem Gebiet des Baus von Hängebrücken und speziell der Konstruktion von für den Lastfall Wind stabiler Brücken. Ausgehend vom Einsturz der Tacoma-Bridge 1940, der durch Torsionsschwingungen ausgelöst wurde, setzte eine intensive Forschung auf dem Gebiet der Aerodynamik von Hängebrücken ein. Der Verfasser beschreibt zunächst eine Reihe von prominenten Hängebrücken unter dem speziellen Gesichtspunkt der Windstabilität und leitet anschliessend die wichtigsten konstruktiven Grundregeln für die Konstruktion aerodynamisch stabiler Hängebrücken ab.
