Abstract:	Die Deutsche Bahn AG als Eigentüber der Eisenbahn-Verkehrsanlagen beabsichtigt in mehreren Städten, die Bahnhöfe und ihr Umfeld, die oft die weitere Urbanisierung der Stadtzentren blockieren, wieder in das innerstädtische Leben zu integrieren und gleichzeitig den Schienenverkehr den Anforderungen der Zukunft anzupassen. Der zugeordnete langfristige Planungsdialog wird mit dem Begriff "Projekte 21" überschrieben. Im Rahmen einer im April 1994 veröffentlichten Machbarkeitsstudie und einer Weiterführung als Vorprojekt soll dies exemplarisch an der baden-württembergischen Landeshauptstadt unter dem Projekttitel "Stuttgart 21" vorgestellt werden. "Stuttgart 21" - centennial chance for the city and the region of Stuttgart. The Deutsche Bahn AG as the new propriator of the railway facilities intends to re-integrate the train station and ist surrounding which often block the continuing urbanization of the city center and to adapt rail traffic to the requirements of the future in several cities. The assigned long-term planning dialogue is titled "Projects 21". ln the frame-work of a feasibility study published in April 1994 and later as a prelimenary project, the capital of Baden-Wuerttemberg shall serve as a model entitled "Stuttgart 21".
